To get a California insurance license, complete any of the pre-license OnDemand video classes in this catalog and follow these licensing steps.

1. To qualify for a license (If you don't have an active CA insurance license),  complete a 32 or 52-hour pre-license course from the license types below.

2. Fingerprints and background check requirements to get your first insurance license. (Most state exam test centers have a Live Scan Vendor)

3. Exam fees are paid before you schedule your test date.

4. State fees are paid when you apply for a license.

5. Renew a License: Printed Books or Online Open-Book Format
