2025 Mandatory CE Course for Life Agents
4 HR Life Agent Course: The requirement for this course to be mandatory for licensing to sell Life Policies with Cash Value is January 1, 2025. However, Life Agents licensed on or before January 1, 2024, must complete this 4-hour CE course before January 1, 2025, to continue solicitation. This training requirement takes effect on January 1, 2025 (Insurance Code section 1749.81[c]).

8 HR Annuity Course: Senate Bill 263 (Dodd, Chapter 2, Statutes of 2024) Insurance: annuities and life insurance policies, life agents licensed on or after January 1, 2025, must complete the new 2025 Annuity 8-hour training course prior to soliciting annuity business. Life agents who hold a life line of authority prior to January 1, 2025, must complete the new 2025 Annuity 8-hour Training course no later than July 1, 2025.
